Frequently Asked Questions | Highmark Signs

FAQ pages serve double duty: they answer real customer questions (reducing phone call volume) and they capture featured snippet positions in Google search results. Use FAQ schema markup (Rank Math supports this natively) so questions appear directly in Google results.

We pride ourselves on our quality craftsmanship, excellent safety record, and creative solutions for challenging access problems.

Our team has the background and experience to handle complex jobs, such as the following:

Most standard commercial installations are completed in a single day. The timeline depends on the sign type, mounting height, electrical work, and site conditions — a simple wall sign or set of channel letters often takes a few hours, while large pylon signs, multi-sign rollouts, or jobs requiring cranes and electrical hookups can run one to several days. Once we've assessed your site, we give you a firm schedule before work begins.

Yes. We handle the permitting process for you, including researching local sign codes, preparing and submitting applications, and coordinating with the municipality through approval. Permit timelines are set by the local jurisdiction and can add anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to a project, so we recommend starting early.

Highmark serves the entire state of Florida. If you have a location just outside Florida or a multi-site account that extends beyond it, reach out — we can often accommodate work outside our standard service area.

We're an installation and service specialist. We don't run our own fabrication shop, but we coordinate fabrication through trusted manufacturing partners when a project calls for it — so we can handle everything from building a new sign through final installation, or simply install and service signage you already have.

Every project is priced individually because cost depends on the sign type, size, mounting height, electrical needs, site access, and permitting. Rather than quote a misleading ballpark, we provide a detailed written quote after reviewing your project — contact us and we'll get you an accurate estimate.

We install a full range of commercial signage, including channel letters, illuminated and non-illuminated wall signs, monument and pylon signs, blade and projecting signs, directional and wayfinding signage, digital and LED displays, and large-format building graphics. If you're not sure what fits your storefront or building, we can help you choose.

Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance programs that keep your signage clean, lit, and looking sharp — including scheduled inspections, lamp and LED replacement, electrical repairs, and cleaning. Regular maintenance catches small issues before they become costly failures and extends the life of your investment.

We prioritize emergency repairs — a dark or damaged sign costs you visibility and business. Contact us and we'll dispatch a crew as quickly as possible, typically responding same-day or next-day depending on location and crew availability. Maintenance-program customers receive priority response.

LED conversion means retrofitting older fluorescent or neon signage with modern LED lighting. LEDs draw significantly less power, last far longer, and need far less maintenance — many businesses see meaningful reductions in their sign's energy use and a sharp drop in relamping and repair calls. We'll assess your existing signs and show you the expected savings for your specific setup.

Yes. We work with national and multi-location brand accounts, handling rollouts, brand-standard compliance, and consistent installation and service across sites. We're set up to coordinate with corporate facilities and brand teams and to keep documentation consistent across every location.

Yes. Our crews are fully licensed and insured, and we carry the coverage commercial property owners and brand accounts expect. Certificates of insurance are available on request before any work begins.

Vertical rope access is a rigging technique that lets trained technicians safely reach signage on tall buildings or hard-to-access elevations using ropes and harnesses, rather than cranes or scaffolding. It's used when a sign sits high on a structure or in a spot a lift can't reach — it's faster to set up, less disruptive to the site, and more cost-effective for many high-rise installations and repairs.

Whether you need to apply protective coating to a widely-used bridge, do routine maintenance on a wind turbine, or clean the windows of a city center high rise, Highmark will find ways to safely reach the most difficult places and do a job that exceeds your expectations, not your budget.

Our skilled technicians can solve complex access problems where conventional methods are impossible, impractical, or too costly. Once a solution has been identified, they have the capabilities to carry out a wide range of tasks, from inspections and installations to painting and repairs.

Our composite crews include qualified personnel in multi-disciplined trades, in-house engineers, and experienced rope technicians who are certified.

Their certifications prove that the tradespeople you’ve hired can safely use rope access cleaning, maintenance, and repair methods, which are both environmentally friendly and minimally disruptive.

The certified tradespeople can start and finish projects more quickly than those who rely on traditional access methods. Since there is no bulky scaffolding to set up and take down, the total spent on a specific scope of work is reduced and all tasks are completed in an expedient manner, reducing overall downtime.

Safety is our number one priority. The rope access techniques we use are safer than traditional methods. Our technicians work in teams and can assist one another if an incident occurs. Their tools are securely attached to their harnesses, so there’s very little chance of a falling tool injuring people on the ground. Their specialized training also includes rescue techniques, and their harnesses reduce the risk of injury from suspension trauma.
