Professional Commercial Sign Installation Services
From a single channel letter storefront to a 150-foot pylon sign at a highway interchange, Highmark handles every type of commercial sign installation across the state of Florida. We pull the permits, bring the equipment, and get the job done right.
Florida's Full-Service Commercial Sign Installation Company
Getting a sign from the fabrication shop to the side of your building is a lot more complicated than most people realize. It involves structural engineering, electrical connections, municipal permitting, heavy equipment coordination, and crews who know how to work safely at elevation. That is exactly what Highmark Lighting and Signage does, and it is all we do. We are not a sign manufacturer. We don't run a fabrication shop. Our entire focus is on what happens after the sign is built: professional installation, permitting, electrical connection, and long-term maintenance. That specialization means we are better at fieldwork than companies that try to do everything under one roof. When a fabricator builds your sign, they are experts at manufacturing. When we install it, we are experts at the part that actually puts it on your building.
Since 2008, we have installed commercial signage for businesses, property managers, and national brands in every corner of Florida. Our clients range from a local restaurant owner who needs one monument sign to national franchise networks rolling out new signage at dozens of Florida locations. No matter the size of the project, we bring the same crew quality, the same equipment, and the same attention to the permitting process.
One thing that sets us apart is our equipment. We own our entire fleet, including Elliott bucket trucks that reach over 100 feet, a crane-equipped semi, aerial lifts from 24 to 60 feet, excavators with auger attachments, and multiple service trucks. We do not rent equipment and we do not subcontract the heavy lifts. That means we control the schedule, we control the safety, and we control the quality.

For multi-location projects, we organize installation schedules by geographic region so our crews move efficiently across the state. This approach keeps travel costs down and gets more locations completed per week. Whether your project involves one sign in one city or a hundred signs in twenty cities, we have the logistics figured out.
Our Sign Installation Process
Step 1: Site Survey and Assessment
We visit the location to assess the building structure, sign mounting conditions, electrical availability, and any access challenges. We document everything with photographs and measurements so there are no surprises on installation day.
Step 2: Permitting
We handle the complete sign permit application in your municipality. Site plans, sign elevation drawings, electrical permits, and any landlord or HOA approvals that are required. We follow up with the building department until the permit is issued. Every Florida city and county has different rules, and we know them.
Step 3: Engineering Review
For structural installations like pylon signs, monument signs, and large building-mounted signs, we coordinate engineering calculations to confirm the mounting system meets Florida wind load requirements and local building codes.
Step 4: Equipment Staging and Scheduling
We schedule the installation around your business operations and coordinate equipment staging. Our own fleet means the schedule depends on our availability, not a rental company's.
Step 5: Professional Installation
Our licensed crews install the sign using the right equipment for the job. Bucket trucks for building-mounted signs, cranes for heavy lifts, aerial lifts for moderate heights, and ground equipment for monument and pylon foundations.
Step 6: Electrical Connection and Testing
Complete electrical hookup, illumination testing, timer or photocell programming, and brightness verification. We confirm the sign looks right during the day and at night before we leave the site.
